Day 12

I'm having a hard time as I write this because quite frankly I don't want to be thankful for anything today. Which means I have even more reason to make sure I write this one.

November 2006

We lived in Ephraim when Braden was 2 months old and as I was driving home from Salt Lake I had a deer jump on our car. Yep I was hit by a deer. The amazing thing was that deer should have gone straight through my windshield and into my lap, but it didn't. One of the people who stopped to help told me she watched as the deer started rolling up the hood of my car and then she said it was like something grabbed the deer and threw it back the same way it was coming.

Notice the license plate is missing, until my parents found it on the side of the road I thought some deer was going through the woods with my license plate on its rear end.

If you look close you can see the hair of the deer in the crack.

 March 2009

 After working from 9 pm-5am and then going to the temple, PJ was driving home. I still remember the phone call I got from him that morning it went something like this.

PJ"hey what are you doing?"

Me"Watching cartoons with the boys what's up?"

PJ"Oh nothing except I got in an accident and I can't find my glasses."

Yep that is how he told me he had passed out while driving and crossed 3 lanes of I-15 to go head on into the median.

The man who was behind PJ when this happened said he saw our car start drifting to the right and then all of the sudden it just went to left and straight into the median.

When I got there the police officer kept telling me he was shocked PJ wasn't hurt or worse.  We even found his glasses just sitting on the dashboard like they had been set there on purpose.

I'm thankful for guardian angels.
